currently got my hands stuck on gifted hands written by Dr Ben Carson. amazing story of this great man's life. how he, a black, managed to work his way up the academic ladder, climbing all the way up going into premed at yale. and he eventually became head paediatric neurosurgery at johns hopkins university hospital. i found myself nodding at all the details of how he fought his inner demons and believing he could beat everyone else at everything if he put his mind to it. now that's the mindset i want to cultivate. have total belief in myself. and at the bottom of it all, know that God is at work right beside you. Faith is being sure of what you want, and certain of what you do not see.

No matter how many other career choices I considered, I couldn't think of anything else in the whole world i wanted more than being a doctor.
